The safety and wellbeing of your children is of the utmost importance to us. Please know:
All of our team members are fully vaccinated and trained in infection control.
All of our team members have valid Working with Children’s Checks.
All of our team members follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols as advised by the Australian Dental Association. These include washing hands, hand sanitisation, wearing masks, gloves and protective eyewear.
All treatment areas are disinfected before and after each child.
We use single-use disposable diagnostic instruments where possible and/or fully sterile instruments for each child sterilised according to the current infection control guidelines.
The Medicare-funded Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian Government program that provides up to $1,132 of dental treatment for eligible children aged 0– 17 for at least one day that calendar year, covering most basic general dental services. You do not need to register your child for the CDBS.
Eligible children may have up to $1,095 of basic dental treatment over a two-year period. It begins at the start of the calendar year and any money not spent in the first year is carried over to the second year. You cannot claim benefits from both private health insurance and the CDBS for the same services.
Once you have completed the consent form, Our team will check your child’s eligibility. If your child is eligible, they will receive the following dental services:
A comprehensive examination
A scale and clean
Remineralising agent application
Depending on your child’s age and needs, x-rays and fissure sealants may also be required.
If your child is not eligible for the CDBS funding, NSW Mobile Dentistry can still provide the same quality services. We can offer a check-up, and write referral for any treatment your children needs.
A report outlining what was done at your child’s appointment will be provided via physical report
Children that require additional treatment can be booked in at your child’s school during our booking dates. Our clinician will send a consent from home with your child. Alternatively, if the treatment is more complex, our clinicians will suggest attending a physical dental practice and provide you with details of the treatment required.
Your child’s dental care is our top priority, and will be provided by highly trained, registered dental clinicians who are skilled in, and genuinely passionate about, working with children. Every effort will be made to ensure that the children participating feel safe and confident about their dental care experience. If your child becomes upset or is otherwise unable to complete their treatment, they will be able to return to class and our clinician will contact your school to reschedule the appointment.
